We have a range of volunteering opportunities across the site, including roles working in the museum and in the gardens and grounds.
Volunteering is a wonderful chance to share skills and learn new ones, as well as being a great way to gain experience, or simply to meet new people and give something back to your local area.
You may like to help with gardening, welcoming visitors, education, events, art and crafts, collections management or something else!
Please be aware that some volunteering is day specific. Some roles require a DBS check, there is no charge to the volunteer for this process.
To apply to become a volunteer please complete the application form below including the email addresses of two referees.
To find out more please contact us using the form on this page.
Please note you must be 18 to volunteer at Norton Priory Museum & Gardens.
Work ExperienceIf you are under 18 you may want to apply for work experience. As there is a high demand for placements we ask potential work experience students to write to the Volunteer and Digital Coordinator introducing themselves and explaining why they would like to complete a placement at Norton Priory by emailing helenhf@nortonpriory.org.
Please also include the dates of the placement you are requesting and the name of your school.
The cost of your admission goes towards helping us to maintain our fantastic programmes and preserving 900 years of history. However, we also rely on generous gifts to continue to share Norton Priory Museum & Gardens with everyone, whether that’s caring for our gardens or continue to discover the history behind Norton Priory.
£10 could help us protect the exceptional collection and ruins at our museum
£35 could help our Head Gardener tend to the unusual and exciting plants in our Walled Garden
£100 could help us care for our beautiful 42 acres of land, from plants to wildlife
Any amount you can give will go towards caring for and sharing the joy of Norton Priory Museum and Gardens with everyone.
There's lots of ways you can choose to give a gift to Norton Priory.
