Norton Priory Museum and Gardens offers a range of workshops for nurseries, schools, and community groups. Tours, talks and hands-on curriculum linked sessions offer an insight into the history, art, literacy and the natural world inspired by Norton Priory and beyond. Sessions are catered to suit all ages and abilities including those with SEN. Workshops start at £7 per student for a whole day visit. We offer the following workshops: • Local history session: Halton castle and Medieval Norton Priory • Local history session: Victorian Norton Mansion and the Brooke Family • Early Man: From the Stone Age to the Iron Age • Anglo Saxons • Castles and the Normans (including visit to Halton Castle) • WW2 • Medieval medicine session: including skeletons investigation and herbs • Being an archaeologist and osteologist: how do we learn about the past? • Science: Pond dipping, bees, mini beasts, plants • Wild art and clay work • Victorian Christmas (November and December only) We are happy to discuss any other themes to help support your curriculum Email us on: education@nortonpriory.org
