Traditional Skills
Norton Priory is proud to announce the launch of our Traditional Skills Courses 2013
Throughout the year we will be hosting a series of workshops delivered by local experts to enable you to develop your own range of traditional skills and create some beautiful and useful pieces to take home. No prior experience is required, just lots of enthusiasm!
We will be running the following workshops throughout the year:
All courses take place at Norton Priory unless otherwise stated.
Birds of Prey Experience
Join the experts from Vale Royal Falconry and get up close and personal with these magnificent creatures. This is a hands on experience for you to interact with these magnificent birds and learn some of the skills and techniques involved.

An introduction to Bee-Keeping
Interested in keeping bees? Love honey? Intrigued about making products form wax? Come along and find out what is involed, enjoy live demonstrations and find out more about these most fascinating and industrious creatures.
Sunday 26th May
10am - 4pm
£30 per person
Two day Basket Making Masterclass
Join local expert and willow artist Caroline Gregson on this weekend workshop to create and take home your very own woven basket. Learn the techniques and be inspired to continue your new found skill.
Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd June
10am - 3pm
£80 per person for the two days
Two day Pottery Masterclass
Join John Ayling, discover these traditional styles and techniques and create your own piece of pottery to take home and wow your family!
Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th August
10am - 3pm
£80 per person for the two days.
Stained Glass Workshops
Join Jamie Owens on this one day workshop and learn how to make your very own stained glass creation to take home.
Saturday 27th or Sunday 28th July
10am - 4pm
£60 per person
