It’s that time of the year when our beautiful gardens and grounds start to bloom. Unfortunately, we have had to make some difficult decisions over the past two months. As well as restricting volunteering activities, we have also had to furlough a large proportion of our wonderful staff in order to save money.
Although the museum is closed and our team is reduced, our unusual and exciting plants and extraordinary medieval collection still need care and attention to ensure that they survive in this most difficult of times and that you can enjoy Norton Priory as much as before when we open again.
It has become increasingly clear that the impact of COVID-19 on our opening and activities will be immense and long lasting. We are an independent charity which means that we completely rely on membership fees, admission fees, kind donations, and support from generous organisations, such as Halton Borough Council, and local businesses to look after our museum and gardens. It is our wonderful visitors who ensure that Norton Priory continues to exist.
We will continue caring for our superb gardens, our tranquil grounds and our unique collection but we simply cannot do it without your help. This is why we are asking you, our most loyal and dedicated supporters, to please give a gift to help Norton Priory Museum and Gardens survive and thrive. Click here to donate and support us. Alternatively, you can write a cheque or make a bank transfer. For details, or if you would like a conversation about your donation, please just let us know on firstname.lastname@example.org
Your kindness and generosity will help ensure that Norton Priory will continue for years to come. We can’t wait to open to welcome you back again.
With all best wishes,
Paul Mathews, Rob Sanderson-Thomas and the whole Norton Priory team
