Norton Priory is the most excavated monastic site in Europe with collections that are amongst the most important of their kind.

To mark it’s 900-year story, a major new development of the museum will open in August 2016. The new museum will use the latest technology and state of the art, interactive displays to explore the stories of people who lived and died at Norton Priory, including a crusader knight, murdered in the 13th century. New displays will include the 12 foot-tall statue of St. Christopher, described by Tate Britain as ‘one of the most important sculptures in Britain’.
