School GroupsWe provide learning sessions to suit all groups from Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stages 1-4 and Further Education. All of our workshops and activities can be adapted for SEN groups.
Norton Priory offers a range of different hands-on and interactive learning workshops.
On the following pages we have outlined the different sessions on offer and indicated the appropriate year groups which these sessions are tailored towards.
The Early Years and Primary sessions are explained under the following sub headings:
- History sessions
- Outdoor Science & Environmental sessions
- Arts & Crafts sessions
- Storytelling & Trails
- Outreach & Loan Boxes
Each session lasts for approximately 1hr 15mins. Sessions are suitable for around 30 pupils but we can accomodate larger groups. Learning sessions can be booked for the morning, afternoon or for a full day. If you are unable to come to us, we can come to you. We deliver sessions in school and can provide topical loan boxes for pre and post visit school work.
All of our facilitators are highly trained, experienced and have CRB checks.
In 2012 the Learning team was awarded the prestigious Sandford Award for Heritage Education.
All sessions are fully risk assessed.
All school groups must be booked in advance.
A £25 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm all bookings.
We recommend a free pre-visit for all teachers.
