MuseumNorton Priory is the most excavated monastic site in Europe. The museum tells its story from its foundation in 1134 through to its dissolution and later history as a manor house and estate. Highlights include the internationally significant twice life sized statue of St. Christopher, believed to have been carved in the late 14th century.
The museum also displays stone carvings, grave markers and other excavated material representing Norton Priory's 900 year old history.
The museum is now open after a major Heritage Lottery Fund supported redevelopment!
