Come and volunteer at Norton Priory!
You could help in our award-winning gardens, care for our collections, one of our hundreds of school visits or help at one of our fantastic events!
We have a number of different roles available - no experience is necessary and all training will be provided.
Some roles are only available at certain times of year, but there is something to suit everyone, so give us a call and find out how you can get involved!Gardening Volunteer

We are currently very fortunate and have a full compliment of wonderful people volunteering in our gardens so we are unable to take on any more volunteers at the moment. If you are still keen to get involved and would like to be added to our waiting list please fill in our application form and we will get in touch when we can offer you a place! Thank you.
Help across our 37 acre estate with a variety of tastes from planting and weddings to watering and picking produce.
You'll need an interest in gardening but experience is not an essential, enthusiasm and energy and to be reliable.
We tend to have volunteers in on a Monday and Tuesday and our season lasts from February to November.
You will work with the Gardening team.
Learning & Outreach Volunteer
Help with interactive and exciting school and group sessions. You'll need to enjoy working with people of all ages, an interest in history and/or wildlife and to be reliable. You will also have to complete a CRB form. You will work with the Learning team and we do activities all year round - weekdays, term time, weekends and holidays.
Events & Activities Volunteer
Plan and run events for visitors or get involved with projects such as exhibitions. You'll need energy and enthusiasm, to be creative, have good communication, written and verbal skills, bright ideas and to be reliable. We hold events at weekends throughout the year.
Bring Norton Priory to life by delivering guided tours of the Walled Garden and Museum & ruins to our visitors. You'll need an enthusiasm for history and/or gardening, to be comfortable and confident talking to groups of people, excellent communication skills and to be reliable.

Assist with collections care, record keeping and organisation. You'll need an interest in history and/or archaeology, previous experience or qualifications in collections care and to be reliable. Collections volunteers tend to work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the year. You will work with the Senior Keeper and collections team.
