Following government advice, and with the safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff in mind, we are delighted that Norton Priory Museum and Gardens will reopen on Saturday 4 July 2020. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming you back.

There will be some key changes when we do reopen that we want to make people aware of now. As well as increased hygiene measures, we will be implementing the changes detailed below. Please read through our Frequently Asked Questions. If you still have any questions or concerns about our opening, please do let us know on info@nortonpriory.org. We have also made our COVID-19 Secure risk assessment available to view in our 'FAQs and useful information about reopening' post.

How to visit
Please note all visitors will need to purchase tickets at least one day in advance. There are a limited amount of tickets per time slot. This can be done online from Thursday 18 June. Members will also need to reserve tickets in advance and show your booking when you arrive, either on your mobile or with a print out. This will allow us to manage on-site visitor numbers and limit queues. Entry will not be permitted without an advance ticket. You can buy your tickets below. Please be patient if you are unable to book your tickets in your chosen time slot, and try another date or time as we are expecting to be very busy.

One Way
Both the Museum building and the Walled Garden will be operating one way systems. These will be clearly marked when you visit.

Car Parking
Our car parks remain free of charge for museum visitors, but please be considerate when parking your vehicle. The disabled parking spaces must only be used by blue badge holders.

Prices
You may have noticed that our prices have changed. The museum has not increased its prices since it reopened in 2016 and since our closure following the COVID-19 pandemic an increase in admission fees has become necessary in order to ensure that the we are sustainable, especially as we are also unable to welcome as many visitors as we usually would. As a charity, every penny we receive goes towards caring for our grounds, collection and museum to make it a beautiful and welcoming haven for all of our visitors. Our membership prices have not changed which makes them great value if you’d like to visit again and again. Please be assured that this is not a decision we have taken lightly - thank you so much for understanding.
